The Bruss Company is a manufacturer of portion-controlled steaks and chops that proudly supplies restaurant chains throughout North America. The Bruss Provision Company, started in 1937 as a local meat purveyor by Sam and Selma Bruss, was originally located in Chicago’s South Water Market. Incorporated as The Bruss Company in 1956, the company moved to its current location in the Kilbourn Park area of Chicago in 1973. Since October 2001, Bruss has been a part of the Tyson Foods family, one of the largest fresh meat companies in the world.
Bruss operates a 52,000-square-foot facility and employs more than 300 dedicated Team Members. The facility is USDA inspected and certified. We are staffed with skilled, experienced Team Members employing state-of-the-art production equipment. Bruss procures beef from only selected and approved packing plants, aging and skillfully portioning steaks to our customers’ exact specifications.
In addition to celebrating 75 years of service to our customers in 2012, The Bruss Company is opening a second facility in Jacksonville, Florida. The dedication of Tyson Foods and The Bruss Company to quality, service, and value is the foundation of our future success.
